About Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

A Safety Data Sheet (SDS), formerly known as Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), is a detailed informational document prepared by the manufacturer or importer of a hazardous chemical. It describes the physical and chemical properties of the product, health and environmental hazards, protective measures, and safety precautions for handling, storing, and transporting the chemical.

Under OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard (HCS), all manufacturers and distributors of chemicals must provide an SDS with their products. The SDS must follow the 16-section GHS format and be readily accessible to employees who may be exposed to the chemical.

Required for Compliance:

All pesticide products must have a compliant SDS available for distributors, retailers, and end users. PCCB creates professional, regulation-compliant SDS documents that meet all federal and international requirements.
